With all of the recent poor weather we thought it would be good idea to send a reminder regarding the Field Closure Line.
Field decisions are made by 3 pm. Please call the Quispamsis field closure line 849-5730 after 3 pm. As a rule of thumb, if the Quispamsis fields are closed, so are the Rothesay fields. This number can also be found at the bottom of our home page on our website: www.kvmba.ca We will also try to post an update on facebook when/if the fields are closed. If you are still unsure, please contact your team coach/manager or division coordinator. The tradition continues with the Annual KV Minor Baseball Night @ Memorial Field in Saint John on Thursday June 29th. Game time is 7:30 pm.
Come out and cheer on the Alpines as they host the Fredricton Royals. All Kids wearing KV jersey or Hat, along with accompanying adult, will get in for free! #Alpines #Tradition #TakeMeOutToTheBallGame Congratulations to KV's own Jordan Fortin, of the KV Midget AAA Red Sox, on making the New Brunswick Canada Games Team!! This team will represent New Brunswick during the 2017 Canada Games taking place in Winnipeg from July 28 to August 4th. Good luck Jordan! #TeamNB #HardWorkPaysOff #CanadaGames Let’s Play Ball!
Baseball Season is officially open! Last Sunday, June 4th, KVMBA officially opened the 2017 baseball season with our Annual Opening Day Festivities at Memorial Field in Quispamsis. On hand to help us officially open the baseball season was our Major Sponsor for the 2017 season, Sun Life Financial. Sun Life Financial is also the official sponsor for our Bantam and Jr. Mosquito Divisions for 2017. With this major sponsorship, KVMBA was able to purchase 4 more brand new sets of jerseys for this season with a total of 15 sets of jerseys over the past 3 years! Thank-you Sun Life Financial! Also there to assist with the opener was our Home Run Sponsor, Teed Saunders Doyle, Accountants & Advisors. Teed Saunders Doyle donated $1,000 to be used towards the purchase of new baseball equipment. Thank-you Teed Saunders Doyle! Our Opening Day Doubleheader featured our KV Peewee AAA Red Sox taking on the Western Valley Shiretowners. The Red Sox ‘stepped up to the plate’ and put on hit parade for the home crowd winning both games and scoring a total of 23 runs on the day. It was a perfect way to open the season.
