U9 - players born in 2013-2014
U9 Red Sox
This team will focus on learning and developing in a fun and positive atmosphere. This team will be made up of the top players for the age group. Players will be assessed during the balancing practices and selected for the Red Sox, if interested. This team will typically practice 2 times per week with games against other Associations within the province and Mosquito Development League teams.
U9 League
The focus of this league will be on having fun and creating a positive atmosphere in which boys and girls ages 8 - 9 can learn the game of baseball. There will be approximately 5 teams of 12 - 15 players each depending on registration numbers.
Typically a team has 2 outings a week on a rotating schedule.
Equipment
KVMBA provides bats (metal), balls, and all catcher's equipment. Players are required to wear grey baseball pants, batting helmets and a ball glove. Cleats are also required (no metal cleats permitted).
Should you choose to purchase your own metal bat, the maximum barrel size is 2 1/4".
