U15 DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
The focus of this league will be on having fun and creating a positive atmosphere in which boys and girls ages 14 - 15 can learn the game of baseball. There will be 1-2 teams of 14 - 15 players each, depending on registrations received.The league will consist of 2 outings per week for each team. Some weeks will be 1 practice plus 1 game, other weeks will be 2 games. Games can include Hampton and Sussex.
U15 "A/AA" RED SOX
The focus of this team will be on having fun and creating a positive atmosphere in which boys and girls ages 14 - 15 can learn the game at a more competitive level.
The team will play exhibition games throughout the summer. There will be 1-3 practices per week, plus games or tournaments. Games will be arranged locally, or by travel to visit other associations within the province. Travel games outside the local area will be either on Saturdays or Sundays. The team will participate in a Sorting Tournament, put on by Baseball NB. The sorting tournament will help Baseball NB then determine if the team will participate in A or AA Provincials at the end of the season. Additional funding will be necessary to support the team through a team fee, or team fundraising activities.
U15 "AAA" RED SOX
The focus of this team will be on having fun and creating a positive atmosphere in which boys and girls ages 14 - 15 can learn the game at the highest level. Players selected for this team will be dedicated to this team and compete at the highest level for Bantam baseball in New Brunswick.
The team will play league games throughout the summer. There will be 1-3 practices per week including time in the batting cage, plus doubleheader(s) most weekends. Games will be arranged locally, or by travel to visit other associations within the province. The team will participate in "AAA" tournaments which may require overnight travel. The team will participate in the provincial "AAA" championship playoffs at the end of the season, which may require overnight travel depending on the location of the host communities. Additional funding will be necessary to support the team through a supplemental team fee, or team fundraising activities.
EQUIPMENT FOR U15 DIVISION
KVMBA provides bats, catcher's equipment, jersey and ball cap.
Players are required to have baseball pants, ball glove, athletic cup, cleats (metal allowed) and a batting helmet.
Rep Teams (A/AA/AAA) require white pants.
Development Teams require grey pants.
If you choose to purchase your own bat, the A/AA/AAA teams can use ONLY wooden bats.
Development League players can choose to use metal or wooden bats.
